Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC; Maximum of 5 years will be given to Contract Employees who have worked with NPCIL.
Compensation package: During the training period of eighteen months, trainees will be paid a stipend of Rs.9300/- per month (consolidated) and on successful completion of training, the Scientific Assistant (Stipendiary Trainee) may be absorbed as Scientific Assistant/B in the Pay Band of Rs.9300¬34800 + GP Rs.4200 alongwith other benefits and allowances as admissible from time to time.
Educational Qualifications:
B.Sc with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc should be with Physics as principal and Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Chemistry as principal and Physics/
Mathematics/Statistics/Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage. Mathematics at HSC (10+2) level is essential. Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examinations.
Physical Standards: Minimum Height - 160 cm (5'3"); Minimum Weight - 45.5 Kgs. (100 lbs)
Selection Process: Written Test / Interview.

Age Relaxation: Five years for ST and ten years for PWD. Relaxation in the age limit upto five years commensurate with experience of working with NPCIL shall be given to contract/fixed term employees. No upper age limit for regular NPCIL employees.
Pay Scale: After Successful Training, Pay Band -2 (Rs.9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/- plus other allowances as applicable in addition to pay

Physical Standards : Height & weight should not be less than 160 cms. & 45.5 kgs. respectively. However these physical standards are relaxable by the Head of the Unit in highly deserving cases.
Selection Process: Short listed applicants will be called for written test. The successful candidates in the written test will be called for personal interview for final selection.
How To Apply: Application (preferably typewritten) to be sent as prescribed format. A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the space provided for in the format and attach one additional photo with name and signature on the backside of the photo. Attested copies of certificates in support of (a) Educational qualification (b) Date of birth (c) belonging to ST/PWD, wherever applicable, in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority (d) Experience Certificate, if any, should be attached with the application.
