IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2014 Research Fellow, Project Assistant

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati (Assam State) Walk in interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant in a DBT, Govt. of India, funded project entitled "In vitro production of doubled haploids in Tea" The appointment will be on contract basis for one (1) year and may be extended for another two years based on the performance. Walk in Interview will be held on 29th May 2014.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)	Rs.16,000/- p.m. (Consolidated) in 1st & 2nd Year and Rs18,000/- p.m. in 3rd Year and applicable, only if NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs12,000/- p.m. for the 1st two years and Rs14,000/- p.m. in 3rd year HRA & Medical Facilities as per institute rules.
Project Assistant	Rs 8,000/- (fixed)

Educational Qualifications:

JRF -> M.Sc. / B.Tech./ BE in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Plant Sciences or related area or equivalent. Candidates should have obtained 60% in qualifying degree examination. Applicants having hands-on experience in Plant Tissue Culture techniques or throughout first division shall be preferred.

Project Assistant -> Candidate should have passed 12th examination.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Walk in interview for the temporary post of one Junior Research Fellow in a DBT sponsored multi-institutional project entitled "Carbon monoxide conversion using native hydrogenogenic microorganisms for sulphate rich wastewater treatment" at the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Guwahati. The appointment will be on contract basis initially for six months, which may be extended to one year based on performance.
